AI/ML Developmental Engineer
Description
The role is primarily responsible for developing & implementing AI and ML models to accelerate our design for manufacturing (DFM) processes. You will integrate with the manufacturing and design teams to learn about Peak's unique capabilities and use your expertise to distill that process knowledge & data into impactful digital tools. As a member of the AI/ML team, one team of Peak's digital technology development group, you'll have direct support via the other sibling teams, Software Dev, IT, & Mfg Automation. Additionally, as part of the AI/ML team, you are expected to collaborate with the wider org in data-science related needs, helping others make better use of their process data. The ideal team member takes a proactive & iterative approach to their work. They can identify roadblocks in their own work as well as external ones affecting them and communicate accordingly to collectively problem solve.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML
- Proficiency in at least one mainstream ML framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc
- Experience with Python, databases (i.e., Postgres), and version control (i.e., Git)
- US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or a related field
- Previous work in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in integrating augmenting business applications with AI/ML
- Experience with Agile methodologies and software development processes
