Quality Engineer II
Description
The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in bridging engineering design, manufacturing operations, and quality assurance. This position requires a hands-on, proactive quality professional who can translate design intent into clear, actionable work instructions, support training of production personnel, and analyze output data to ensure that quality and performance targets are consistently met. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to support process development, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities include:

Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to generate clear and effective work instructions

Facilitate training of manufacturing and quality control technicians on new processes, procedures, and inspection techniques

Monitor and evaluate departmental performance against quality objectives and output metrics

Analyze non-conformance trends and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions

Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) process to evaluate and disposition non-conforming materials

Lead warranty and customer return investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions

Support the development and maintenance of inspection and test plans, control plans, and process validation activities

Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and support internal and external audits

Participate in New Product Development activities to ensure product quality from concept through production

Contribute to internal root cause investigations, risk assessments, and process improvement projects
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing engineering role within a regulated or precision manufacturing environment

Proven ability to develop and document work instructions and training materials

Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality control teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using root cause analysis tools

Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite of applications

US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or related technical field

Experience with process validation, capability studies, and measurement system analysis

Working knowledge of GD&T and interpretation of engineering drawings
-
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards
-
Experience with digital QMS platforms and documentation control systems
-
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
