Manufacturing Supervisor I – System Assembly

Description

Peak Nano has an immediate need for a Manufacturing Supervisor – System Assembly. You will lead a team of Manufacturing Technicians as a player/coach (70% hands-on/30% oversight) on a brand-new lens assembly production line. You will be charged with setting the example for future copies of the assembly production line. There will be opportunity for increased administrative and oversight responsibilities as the business grows.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise daily operations of the system assembly line to ensure safe and efficient production.

• Drive assembly activity to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals

• Train System Assembly personnel in their daily tasks.

• Monitor system assembly team performance, and provide coaching to ensure conformance with safety standards, quality standards, company policies and production goals.

• Operate and maintain automated equipment, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.

• Address and resolve any production issues promptly to minimize impact on operations.

• Ensure the workspace is clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• 3+ years in manufacturing or comparable relevant experience.

• 18+ months in a decision-making role.

• Ability to handle up to 50 pounds with physical dexterity to operate the equipment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel to maintain production records and support creation and/or revision of standard operating procedures.

• US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on a high-precision or technical assembly line.

• Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.

• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
